I’ve never seen SaaS, PaaS and IaaS broken up into Consume, Build & Host. Is that best practice/NIST definition, or something you came up with on your own? I like it.
Hi! this is a very good video! I have a question. you mentioned that IaaS is for development and testing, and they can still deploy their apps through IaaS. Is PaaS strictly for deployment.. is it not also a testing environment? I ask because if it’s both testing and deployment, that would be awesome. Also, would PaaS also be able to contain SQL Server Databases, for this testing and development process?
@Paapa Charles Tandoh I think the difference between IaaS and PaaS is just who is responsible for what. If you the vendor can provide the OS, middleware and runtime you need and it doesn’t need to be custom to your development and testing, then you can use PaaS as well.
