How I Started a SaaS Business From Nothing

How I Started a SaaS Business From Nothing |

On this channel, I share stories about how to build, scale, and exit SaaS businesses, usually taken from the examples and lessons learned from my journey with my last startup – ToutApp. But I've actually been building another SaaS business from scratch since last year, and I'm doing things slightly differently this time around. In this video, I'm going to show you the three steps I took to build this brand new SaaS startup from nothing.

Hey. Great video. Just a small feedback: You might consider making the videos shorter and getting to the point quicker. It literally took you 4 minutes of the video just to get to the first point.

Don’t take this as a hate. The video is pretty good. But it could be better if you got to the point quicker 😉

hey TK. Concerning pre-launch of the SAAS business. How soon before the actual launch of the service do you start building the audience? also concerning pre-launch and you giving out the idea of the service you’re about to build. how do you manage competition during that pre-launch phase?

I say start building your audience from day 0. It’ll help you validate your product early as well. As for competition, they’re probably going to copy you once you launch anyway so majority of times it is kind of a bad excuse from deferring the activities to get your message out there.

If you’re going for an existing category and there’s existing competition, I’d start by figuring out what my differentiation is in the market. I’d then pick off 10 to 50 of the buyers in that market and stress test it with them.

Honestly, that’s hard to explain in a comment. There’s a whole process around it and it’s what I teach inside of my coaching programs. A simple 3 step
process won’t do it justice which is why I don’t go into it in the public videos.

I really did enjoy the main content! First time watching your vids and I’ll definitely watch more, but I have some feedback:
Half of the video sounds like a sales pitch. This may discourage new viewers from ever watching your content again, decreasing your potential audience and therefore revenue.
The best sales are straight to the point!
    Keep up the vids 🙂

TK Kader Fair enough. Mainly just asking cuz we got a partner. A lawyer friend just said we should try to make money first. Then when we do, we can talk about formally incorporating.

Was just asking for future reference. Lol
